WINDS OF FRESHNESS

VT46 :THE SYMBIOSE BETWEEN A 25 YO FINS BOIS AND A 15YO BONS BOIS

Color : Olive oil. Heavy tears

Nose : A great freshness to welcome you onboard. Mint and eucalyptus. Dry almonds too. Then a sudden sweetness is coming with an apricot marmelade. Tinned pears and an aftertaste of prunes eau-de-vie, the one your grand father hid from you until you were old enough to heard about. Magnificent. The Fins Bois and the Bons Bois are perfectly blended here. A small touch of anise seems to be hiding there too.

Palate : The roundness and the fruitiness of the Fins Bois take over the freshness previously described. Take a bowl. Put a great portion of melted butter. Add some ripe fruits (banana, kiwi, pear, maybe pineapple) and bring some salt with a black olives tapenade. Mix it. A dash of white pepper, maybe ginger and cinnamon too. Few tears of lemon juice. Bake it at 46% and there it is : the perfect daily dram.

The empty glass of this VT46 let us some prunes and plums. A perfect assemblage for this VT, as for the Hors d’Age.

My very subjective note : 89+/100
